Customs Officer

In this position, you are the key player when it comes to all customs-related activities. You ensure that everything runs according to the applicable rules and processes and are the point of contact for both colleagues and external parties.

Your work consists of:                                                                                              

  • You will take care of all customs matters for our organization;
  • You check the PGTS system and make corrections if necessary;
  • You manage the entire NCTS-5 process of the receiving and outgoing T-documents;
  • Drawing up files and maintaining a clear overview of irregularities for correct reporting to customs and internal departments;
  • You assess UTBs (Invitations to Payment) and take action where necessary, including objection procedures;
  • You supervise customs processes on the shop floor and inform employees about changes;
  • You support with airline customs problems and proactively look for solutions;
  • You act as a source of information for employees on customs-related issues;
  • You ensure that stops and destruction of batches are carried out correctly in accordance with customs guidelines.
     

Your profile:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • You have a good knowledge of the English language;
  • You work accurately, are customer-friendly and show a proactive attitude;
  • You are a real team player with a sense of responsibility;
  • You have an affinity with logistics processes and customs matters;
  • You are persistent in obtaining evidence in order to solve customs problems;
  • You remain calm under pressure and think in terms of solutions;
  • The ability to work independently while being a team player;
  • Good problem-solving skills.
