Cargo Operations Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate ground crew in the loading, unloading, securing, staging, and distribution of cargo.
- Ensure build-up and break-down activities comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), airline standards, and local customs regulations.
- Monitor and resolve operational irregularities in import/export processes while ensuring compliance with airline, customs, and safety requirements.
- Inspect cargo for completeness, accuracy, damages, and proper documentation before acceptance or dispatch.
- Retrieve stored cargo, trace lost shipments, and arrange delivery or corrective actions as required.
Documentation & Compliance
- Verify import/export documents to determine cargo content and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate cargo records, including goods shipped, received, stored, and dispatched.
- Notify consignees/customers of incoming shipments and arrange delivery in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Workforce & Coordination
- Organize, plan, and prioritize work schedules to meet operational deadlines.
- Supervise and guide cargo handling staff to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Coordinate closely with Operations Agents, customs representatives, and airline officials.
- Conduct briefings to ensure staff awareness of safety, security, and operational procedures.
Safety, Quality & Security
- Ensure overall safety, quality, and security of cargo operations in the assigned area.
- Report safety hazards, operational deficiencies, irregularities, or violations to management.
- Promote compliance with company safety standards and industry best practices.
- the activities of ground crew in loading, unloading, securing, and staging of aircraft cargo.
- Monitor and control all activities within the Section 48 area on a shift basis.
- Ensure proper deployment, accountability, and performance monitoring of cargo assistants.
- Oversee the handling of special cargo (artwork, high-value shipments, sensitive consignments) with required safety and care.
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure sufficient stock of stationery and other resources.
- Education – Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
- Experience - Minimum 12 months’ work experience in Air Cargo Operations / Freight Handling and warehousing
