Mission & Purpose

A strategic and visionary Manager PMO to deliver/lead the enterprise-wide Project Management Office and drive project management and change across the organisation. The role is of key strategic importance and is crucial in shaping our project governance strategy, optimising project delivery frameworks, and aligning the project portfolio with corporate objectives. The role requires a proven track record of building and scaling PMO functions in complex, matrixed environments, combined with exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in project/program management, including 5+ years leading PMO functions at an enterprise or divisional level.
  • Proven success managing large, complex portfolios and transformation programs across multiple business domains.
  • Strong knowledge in project delivery frameworks (PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile, MSP or P30) and governance best practices.
  • Executive-level presence with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus across C-suite and senior stakeholders. (English language is essential)
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  • Proficiency in project/portfolio management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Wrike, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure Dev Ops). As well as MS Office applications to a high level Teams, SharePoint, Excel etc.
  • Business Management acumen or related field; PMP, PgMP, or comparable credential, to degree level, is desirable.
  • Operational experience in Aviation or Air Cargo related role would be beneficial.
  • Experience in warehouse construction, Material Handling Systems (MHS) or engineering would also be highly welcome.

Main Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Help lead the maturity of the EMEA PMO into a high-impact, value-driven function that enables strategic execution and enterprise transformation.
  • Portfolio Governance: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of the project portfolio, including intake, prioritisation, funding, and performance tracking. Ensure alignment with strategic objectives and risk appetite (both project and Enterprise levels).
  • Executive Reporting: Provide regular, data-driven insights to C-level executives on project portfolio health, risks, and ROI.
  • PMO Frameworks & Methodologies: Establish and institutionalise best-in-class project and program delivery standards (waterfall, agile, hybrid) across the organisation.
  • Organisational Maturity: Drive continuous improvement of project maturity, resource capacity planning, and benefit realisation practices.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Partner with Finance, HR, IT, and Business Units to optimise delivery capabilities and ensure project interdependencies are proactively managed.
  • Change & Transformation: Act as a change agent for strategic initiatives, helping business leaders adopt new ways of working, improve agility, and embrace innovation.
  • Leadership & Talent Development: Build and mentor a high-performing EMEA PMO and PM team. Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and growth.
  • Tool & System Management: Manage project management tools and systems, ensuring they support the efficient execution and reporting of projects
  • Manage resource allocation: internal and external, and optimization within the EMEA PMO.
  • In coordination with IT, select, maintain and administer PM software and related tools.
  • Support: provide assistance to the Regions management teams to better control their multiple
  •  projects 

Additional Functional responsibilities

Go Team – Execution and Operational Leadership:

  • Responsible for executing Go Team actions assigned at EMEA level, under the governance and coordination of the designated Go Team Lead, and for ensuring that Go Team interventions are properly prepared, coordinated, executed, and followed up in line with regional expectations.

Lead or coordinate its scope of the Go Team phase‑based deployments, applying a structured approach to diagnosis, root cause analysis, action definition, and verification of effectiveness. Ensure that local resources are appropriately mobilised and that interventions deliver measurable improvements, with lessons learned captured and fed back into regional management systems and controls to prevent re‑occurrence.
