To strengthen our team, we are looking to fill the following full-time position as soon as possible:

Head of Operations (all genders)

The Head of Operations holds overall responsibility for the operational performance of WFS within the EFFH project. This position ensures that all core logistics processes from inbound handling and storage to final delivery are executed efficiently, safely and with a strong customer focus. As a key driver of the company’s strategy, the Head of Operations plays a central leadership role in daily operations while actively promoting development, innovation and transformation. 

Your tasks:

• Development and implementation of the operations strategy in close alignment with executive management

• Planning and execution of innovation and transformation projects in line with the company strategy

• Functional and disciplinary leadership of all operational areas

• Fostering cross-functional collaboration and an agile leadership culture

• Ensuring continuous qualification and motivation of employees

• Full responsibility for the efficient, smooth and secure handling of EFFH operations

• Analysis and optimization of the value chain using lean management principles

• Ensuring compliance with aviation security, occupational health & safety and environmental regulations

• Implementation and continuous development of an integrated quality and safety management system

• Steering of projects in the fields of process digitalization and technical innovation

• Integration of new technologies to increase efficiency and quality

• Close collaboration with customers, partners, authorities and stakeholders

Your profile

• Completed university degree in logistics, business administration or industrial engineering

• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in operational logistics or air cargo environments

• Proven ability to lead and motivate across multiple operational units

• Strong conflict resolution, facilitation and motivational skills

• Demonstrated success in developing high-performing leadership teams

• In-depth knowledge of aviation security law, dangerous goods, warehouse processes and customer service

• Strategic mindset with a strong ability to execute and drive innovation

• High customer orientation and entrepreneurial thinking

• Strong analytical skills and commitment to quality

• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
