To strengthen our team, we are looking to fill the following full-time position as soon as possible:

Supervisor (all genders)

 

As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for operational control and quality assurance in daily operations. You will ensure smooth and efficient cargo handling while ensuring compliance with legal requirements, internal standards, and customer expectations. In addition, you will play an active role in the further development of operational processes and help shape ongoing transformation initiatives.

 

Your tasks

  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of coordinators and other team members within the assigned area
  • Ensuring the smooth execution of daily operations
  • Coordination of processes across the entire freight chain in compliance with legal regulations (customs, aviation security, dangerous goods)
  • Day-to-day supervision of coordinators and ensuring optimal shift coverage
  • Coordination with airlines, freight forwarders, authorities and internal departments such as warehouse, security and customer service
  • Monitoring and enforcement of safety and quality standards in accordance with internal policies and legal requirements
  • Active participation in strategic transformation projects, particularly in digitalization and process standardization
  • Ensuring consistent communication across shifts, departments and external partners
  • Responsibility for occupational safety within the assigned area, including the implementation of safety measures
  • Role model function in the enforcement of all safety requirements
  • Conducting regular staff briefings and safety training sessions
  • Promoting a safety-first culture in close collaboration with the occupational safety department
  • Conducting employee appraisals and supporting professional and personal development

 

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training as a freight forwarding or aviation agent or a comparable qualification
  • Additional training in air freight or logistics is an advantage
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in air freight, including at least two years in a leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of air freight import and export processes, customs procedures, dangerous goods, aviation security regulations, occupational health and safety and compliance standards
  • High level of decision-making competence and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Excellent communication skills and assertiveness
  • Experience in change management, conflict resolution and quality assurance
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Customer-oriented, cost-aware and quality-conscious mindset
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
