WFS is looking for a Quality Officer.
About the Department
The Quality Department monitors customer requirements (direct and indirect), regulatory expectations, and sector standards. Activities include performing internal and external audits, assisting during customer and authority audits, conducting measurements, analysing results, and supporting customers with questions or remarks.
All activities follow the WFS Quality Management System and support the continuous improvement of processes and productivity.
The department is also responsible for:
· Maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) and other systems relevant to the air cargo sector.
· Supporting compliance with GDP/FAVV/Customs requirements.
Purpose of the Role
As a Quality Officer, you will support the Quality Manager and take over tasks when needed or during absence. You will play an active role in document management, communication with internal and external stakeholders, and preparing and following up on audits.
Your responsibilities include:
· Administrative processing of quality-related documents such as manuals, complaints, audit reports, measurements and statistical data.
· Providing customers with accurate and timely information.
· Preparing and following up on customer audits.
· Supporting compliance with sector-specific requirements (DG, pharma, live animals, etc.).
Main Activities
Operational
· Ensuring compliance with standard procedures.
Customer Relations
· Strengthening the professional image and positioning of WFS towards customers, employees and external partners.
· Following up, processing and communicating customer issues or complaints to the relevant departments and the Quality Manager.
Quality Management
· Performing research and analysis to support process improvements and procedure optimisation.
· Recording, analysing and following up on incidents and complaints.
Communication
· Acting as a point of contact for customers, authorities and internal teams.
· Collecting, processing and reporting issues to the Quality Manager or relevant departments.
· Maintaining the Incident Handling database.
Profile
· Education in a quality-related field.
· Minimum 2 years of office experience in the logistics sector (freight forwarding, transport, distribution, air cargo). Experience within WFS is considered an advantage.
· Very good knowledge of Dutch and English
· Good knowledge of French
· Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
